Documemts related to the career of Shohig (Sherry) Terzian, including letters and memos
from 1948-1958 that document consultations about staff libraries, deaccessioning or
"weeding" holdings of libraries, and participation in the Special Libraries Association.
Background
Sherry Terzian (1915-2002), as "Shohig Terzian", compiled a bibliography of the writings of
George Santayana in 1940, not present in this collection. As "Sherry Taylor", she was
librarian for the Prudential Insurance Company of America; letters and memos from 1948-1958
document consultations about staff libraries, deaccessioning or "weeding" holdings of
libraries, and participation in the Special Libraries Association. In 1959, Sherry Terzian
became Medical Librarian at the Professional Staff Library of the UCLA Neuropsychiatric
Institute in Los Angeles.
