Description
Civil rights photograph album containing 83 prints documenting the struggle for equal rights, New York, approximately 1960. Images include Malcolm X, Jesse Jackson, and Roy Wilkins, New York Congresswoman Liz Holtzman, Thurgood Marshall, and Kenneth B. Clark, as well as voter registration campaigns by the Jamaica, Queens branch of the NAACP, community rallies, and New York City street protests following the 1960 Woolworth counter sit-in in North Carolina.
