Description
This collection consists of materials related to the 2008 presidential elections in Ghana. The materials consist of posters,
newspapers, flyers, and other materials. Map folders 9 and 10 are stored at Green Library.
Background
The first presidential and parliamentary election was December 7, 2008. There was a run-off on December 28, 2008, between
John Evans Atta-Mills of the National Democratic Congress and Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo of the New Patriotic Party. Atta-Mills
won 50.23% of the vote and became president. Akuffo Addo won 49.77% of the vote.
