Jerry Fennell loaned a black-and-white print, 6 x 8 in., to the museum in 1980. A copy negative was made, and the print was returned to Fennell.
SAFR-00001 is a blanket accession that was transferred from the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) to the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park in September 1988. GGNRA had previously acquired the collection from the San Francisco Maritime Museum when it became a unit of the National Park Service in 1977.
GOGA-00789 was transferred from the J. Porter Shaw Library to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) in February 1985.

The East Street Shipping copy negative, 1898-1923, (SAFR 24845, P80-077) is comprised of a copy negative photorgraph of the San Francisco, California, waterfront around Pier 10. The collection has been processed to the Collection level and is open for use.
Contains 1 black-and-white copy negative, 5 x 7 in., of an image showing the San Francisco, California, waterfront at East Street near Folsom Street, 1898-1923. The negative was likely made from a photomechanical print. It is captioned "East Street Shipping." Pier 10 is in view. The bow of LOGAN (built 1892; transport: U.S. Army), docked, is visible in the right foreground. Other unidentified sailing vessels are also in view. The Ferry Building and the Wellington Coal wharf are in the left distance.
