The Families of Los Gatos Collection is part of the larger Vertical File Collection, located in the Los Gatos Library Local History Room. These files contain photocopies, photographs, handwritten notes, and other documentation of individuals and families who have lived in or around the Town of Los Gatos. Folders are organized alphabetically by last name. This collection is useful for carrying out research on well-known former residents of Los Gatos.

The family names included in this collection are in no way include all families who have lived in Los Gatos. Rather, they are a reflection of many prominent family names, such as town founders, business owners, politicians, and otherwise noteworthy individuals how have lived in Los Gatos.
