Includes form with application blank and receipt and self-addressed (1860 Broadway, New York) return envelope. Letter refers to enclosed "leaflet which tells its own sad story. The illustrations have been taken from advertising catalogues and from illustrations made by the vivisectors, themselves". Leaflet printed on 1 folded sheet ([4] p.) with caption title: "New York Anti-Vivisection Society. 456 Fourth Avenue, New York City. Pictures taken from vivisectors' reports which show how animals are scientifically tortured. Thousands and thousands of animals yearly undergo these excruciating agaonies under the plea and cloak of science. Will you not help us save them?"
