This collection contains correspondence written by T/5 Anthony J. Stupar, USA to his wife Stella during the Second World War.
Background
Technician Fifth Grade Anthony James Stupar, United States Army (12/31/1913 - 6/13/1993) was born and lived his entire life in Cleveland, Ohio, attending West Technical High School and later earned a degree in aircraft maintenance. His parents were John J. and Mary (Kirschner) Stupar, and he had an older brother John and a younger brother Emerick J. T/5 Stupar married Stella Kabat on June 28, 1941 and enlisted in the US Army a year later on June 1, 1942.
