Scope and Content

This collection contains correspondence, family papers and newspaper clippings about Italian fishing famlies from Riva Trigoso, Italy and their descendants in Santa Cruz, California. Box 1 includes correspondence and writings collected by Santa Cruz resident Mary Carniglia that document the experience of Italian immigrants and Italian-Americans living and working in Santa Cruz in the mid-20th century.
