Scope and Content of Collection

The Danny Kent collection of Lesbian/Gay Freedom Day Parade records contain materials related to the 1985 parade and celebration. Kent worked with the media subcommittee to develop a brochure to describe and give contact information for diverse subcultures and groups within the San Francisco LGBT community. Kent solicited descriptions from organizations and individuals for the brochure but, ultimately, the Parade Committee did not publish or otherwise use them. The bulk of the collection contains these materials and others concerning production of the brochure. There are also Parade Committee administrative records, including mass mailings press releases, meeting minutes, and bylaws. GSSO Linked Terms: http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/GSSO_001021
