This artificial collection was created by Sutro Library staff as a supplment to the 2017 Women's March collection the Library
holds. The posters and items in this collection were strategically selected at the San Jose March based on how strong the
poster's language or imagery related to the events that occurred during President Donald J. Trump's first year in office.
Using this as criteria, the 2018 posters differ from the 2017 posters and can show either the new issues that were on the
protester's minds or the progression of thought on a certain issue.
Sutro Library staff attended the San Jose Women's March and asked poster creators to donate their signs.
This artifical collection was processed by Sutro Library staff in Feb. 2018.
