    Biographical / Historical

    Adeline De Walt Reynolds (1862-1961) was an American actress who began her acting career at the age of 78. She was the oldest member of the Screen Actors Guild at the age of 98 during her last performance. She was active in film and television from 1940 to 1960.

    Scope and Contents

    This collection contains photographs, clippings, scrapbooks, periodicals, and a trophy related to the career of American actress Adeline De Walt Reynolds (1862-1961) which date from the 1930s to around 1960. Photographs are primarily film stills and actor headshots. Scrapbooks include candid photographs, professional photographs, and clippings. There is material related to Reynolds' daughter Mary Reynolds Adams who performed on the radio program "One Man's Family" (1956-1959) and a still book from "The Tuttles of Tahiti" (RKO, 1942).
