Abstract: The Tom Ayres papers consists of invitations to leather and play parties thrown by Ayres and Larry Segress; brochures for
the American Uniform Association (AUA), one with Ayres' photograph on the back; an invitation to the 1991 Mr. Drummer International
finals and events during Leather Pride Week in San Francisco; a flyer for the Gay Guards, a group organized to combat anti-gay
violence; and holiday cards from "Dick."

Scope and Content of Collection
The Tom Ayres papers consists of invitations to leather and play parties thrown by Ayres and Larry Segress; brochures for
the American Uniform Association (AUA), one with Ayres' photograph on the back; an invitation to the 1991 Mr. Drummer International
finals and events during Leather Pride Week in San Francisco; a flyer for the Gay Guards, a group organized to combat anti-gay
violence; and holiday cards from "Dick." Ayres lived in San Francisco from 1987-1999. He was a founding member of the Golden
State Uniform Corps and an Associate Member of the 15 Association.
