Abstract: Richard Rockwell was a gay man who lived in San Francisco for over 75 years. He was an early member of several gay motorcycle
clubs including the Barbary Coasters and The Warlocks. This collection includes personal papers and photographs, motorcycle
club awards and memorabilia, a scrapbook containing paper ephemera and illustrations, a Warlocks motorcycle club denim vest,
and a gown worn by Charles Pierce with documentation. It also includes a copy of the Daily Alta California, gifted by Senator
George Moscone, dated 1851.
