This collection consists of legal documents from two cases in the 1990s. One is a lengthy set of handwritten letters and filings from a man named Ali Shair or Shair Ali, who had been arrested on drug charges and was jailed in the West County Detention Facility. The second case is Marina Center v. City of Richmond, in which the developers of the proposed Marina Center sought a preliminary injunction against the City of Richmond.
