Abstract: The 'Polk Street: Lives In Transition' project was an oral history project by Joey Plaster examining Polk Street's history
through the lens of current neighborhood change. It also was a traveling multimedia exhibit, an hour-long radio documentary
at transom.org, a historical narrative with OutHistory, a series of neighborhood dialogues and events. The collection contains
over 70 oral histories, press materials about the project, photographs, correspondence, research files and other project related
documents.
