Biography/Administrative History

Philip Conneally, S.J. (1914-2008), was born in Los Angeles and was a long-time professor of history at Loyola High School in Los Angeles. He entered the Jesuits in 1931 and was ordained in 1944.

Scope and Content of Collection

This collection consists of photographs, many of which are cabinet cards from the 1890s, that perhaps Philip Conneally, S.J., collected. Many photographs are of clerics, and some were of Conneally's relatives. The last folder in the collection (folder 38) contains an envelope addressed to Father conneally from Joseph McCarthy. In addition, McCarthy is mentioned in two other photographs; see folders 9 and 25.
