Abstract: Christopher Street West slogan selection records, button designs, and drafts of the anthem for the 1982 Los Angeles pride
parade and festival. Larry C. Kephart served as a board member and treasurer of Christopher Street West during the 1980s.
Larry C. Kephart was a member of the Society of Pat Rocco Enlightened Enthusiasts (SPREE) in the 1970s. In the 1980s he was
a Christopher Street West (CSW) board member and served as the treasurer of the organization from 1980 to 1981.
All requests for permission to publish or quote from manuscripts must be submitted in writing to the ONE Archivist. Permission
for publication is given on behalf of ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives at USC Libraries as the owner of the physical
items and is not intended to include or imply permission of the copyright holder, which must also be obtained.

The collection consists of documents for the 1982 Christopher Street West festival and parade, including a list of slogan
entries, logo designs by Kephart, and drafts of the anthem written by Kephart for the festival and parade. Kephart's anthem,
"A New Gay Dawning," was produced for the 1982 festival and parade. The collection also includes Kephart's digital images
of the 2008 festival.
