Scope and Contents
This collection contains the papers of American writer, Howard Rodman (1920-1985). Materials include radio scripts, treatments,
and outlines for "The Couple Next Door" (1940s) and "Joe Powers of Oakville" (1946); television scripts for "Studio One" (1955),
"General Motors Theatre" (1954), "Alcoa-Goodyear Theatre" (1959), "One Step Beyond" (1960s), and "Naked City" (1960), among
others; and miscellaneous short stories written by Rodman. Screenplays include "An American Dream" (1966), "Madigan" (1968),
"Coogan's Bluff" (1968), and "Winning" (1969).
Biographical / Historical
Howard Rodman (1920-1985) was an American writer and story editor. He worked in radio, television, and film. Rodman's credits
include writer for "The Couple Next Door," "Studio One" (1955), "General Motors Theatre" (1954), "Alcoa-Goodyear Theatre"
(1959), "Naked City" (1960), "An American Dream" (1966), "Madigan" (1968), "Coogan's Bluff" (1968), and "Winning" (1969).
