Description
The Rollo H. Beck field notes consists of one bound volume spanning the years 1910-1912. Originally maintained by the author
in three-ring field note binders, the notes were later separated and bound chronologically. The notes include journal entries
and catalogues detailing collecting events.
Background
Rollo H. Beck was a prolific collector of birds at the turn of and into the 20th century. He collected around the globe and
he led a number of expeditions including the 1905-1906 Galapagos Expedition sponsored by the California Academy of Sciences.
