    Biographical/Historical note

    Lawrence C. Test was a Pasadena based architect. Born in 1891, Test apprenticed under Reginald Johnson. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects from 1930-1935 and from 1945 to 1953. Test’s more notable projects include: the Hernly House (1949) and the Dickinson House (1941). Lawrence Test died in 1981.

    Scope and Content note

    The Lawrence C. Test papers span 4.5 linear feet and date from circa 1930 to circa 1980. The collection contains architectural drawings and reproductions, presentation boards, a poster, and newspaper clippings from The Los Angeles Times.. The architectural drawings are primarily of residences and residential remodels in the Southern California area, most in Pasadena.
