Biography

Kenneth D. Sender was the defendant in two replevin suits brought against him by the State of New Mexico (1961) and by the federal government (1964). Both cases were based on the belief that Sender's collection consisted of official New Mexico documents. Both cases were adjudicated in favor of Sender. In 1984 part of the collection was sold to the State Record Center and Archives at a nominal price by the inheritors of the collection. - Sender Collection.
