Abstract: This is a collection of typed copies of seventeenth century documents relating to New Mexico copied by France Scholes from
the manuscripts in the Archivo General in Mexico in 1929, and letters from Scholes to Hodge from 1929 and 1930 discussing
the possible publication of these documents, and their significance to the early history of New Mexico missions. Also includes
a chronology of important events relating to New Mexico missions from 1609-1639.
