Biographical Note
Kiernan is an American political scientist and consultant who conducted research in the Soviet Union and Russian Federation
in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Scope and Content of Collection
Includes political ephemera, limited-distribution reports, analytical studies, promotional material, election posters, speeches,
appeals and leaflets produced by nascent political parties and movements in the late Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic
and early Russian Federation.
Arrangement
The bulk of the collection is arranged in two series based both on Kiernan's original order and subject: "Materials relating
to the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic" and "Materials relating to the Russian Federation."
