    Biographical / Historical

    Staff Sergeant Dennis Forest Constantine, United States Army (1/1/1915 - 3/31/1998) served in the 66th Medical Division, 520th Medical Clearing Company during the Second World War. After he enlisted on October 5, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky, he saw action in Belgium, France and Germany in 1945. According to Army enlistment records on Ancestry.com, he and Virginia were unmarried at the time of his enlistment.

    Content Description

    This collection contains three correspondence written by Staff Sergeantt D.F. Constantine, U.S Army, to his wife, Virginia A. Constantine, during the Second World War. There are two letters and one V-Mail while in service with the 520th Medical Clearing Company in France in March and April 1945. The last letter has two sections cut out where the censors removed the name of a town he wrote.
