Collection Scope and Content
George G. Dunlop seaman's papers (SAFR 248, HDC 447) relate to Dunlop's career spanning from 1896 to 1936. This collection
has been processed and is open for use without restriction.
The Continuous Discharge book notes port names, master and ship names at the close of each voyage. Dunlop's signature is on
the front page along with a description of his physical attributes.
Certificates of Discharge are included from the years 1896, 1897, 1899, 1900 and 1907.
There is a certificate of Dunlop's career and a variety of cards: a strike ending card for the Sailor's Union of the Pacific
in 1934; a retiring card for the Sailor's Union of the Pacific in 1936, and a landing card from a pleasure cruise of the Cunard
White Star Limited dated 1948.
