Description
This collection contains documents regarding Boysie E. Day, a former professor of Plant Physiology at UC Riverside. Items in the collection include a biography of Day, as well as an unpublished manuscript written by Day about a sailing expedition he took in the Pacific.
Background
Boysie Eugene Day was born on September 9, 1917, in Haile, Lousiana and was raised in Arizona. Day earned both his Bachelor's of Science and Master's of Science at the University of Arizona at Tucson. He was a military officer during World War II and was part of the navigation in the Philippines and New Guinea.
