Background
Bill Campbell, Republican, was a State Assembly Member, 1997-2002. He represented the 71st Assembly District, which at the time included the cities of Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Orange, Villa Park, and parts of Anaheim, Irvine, Santa Ana, Tustin, and San Juan Capistrano.
