This collection contains 23 audio cassette tapes from the micro-radio station RadioActive Queers, 87.9 FM. RadioActive Queers
programming varied every week and included techno, punk, hip hop, old sci-fi radio plays, Noam Chomsky, discussions of masturbation,
science news, pornography, and the weekly literary hour. The station broadcast in North Oakland and South Berkeley. There
are also two pairs of silk screened underwear with the station’s logo. Programming and on-air queer people include Sarajevo
Punk; DJ Olive Lucy; Anti National Broadcast Association Protests with Sal Monella; Raven Stockton; Gretta Garbage; Dark Star;
Christy Concrete; Moose; No Further Data; Collage; Dr. Grendel; Words. Words. Wordz; Irony hours; and the Black Panther hip
hop show.
