This collection contains engraved tickets created from the mid-18th to early-19th century

the engravings were done by Francesco Bartolozzi (1727-1815), an Italian engraver active in
London primarily in the 18th century. The bulk of Bartolozzi's engravings in this collection
are of artwork by Giovanni Battista Cipriani (1727-1785), another 18th century Italian
artisti. The tickets are for various events including concerts, benefits, lectures, and
dinner parties.
Purchased at Sotheby's, 4 May 1995 (lots 315, 316, 317, 330, 331). The originating lot
number is included below for each item in the collection.
