Biography/Administrative History
Cecil Davis practiced photography in the Bay Area for many years; she died in 1988. Many personal photographs may be found
in the Beverly Kickok papers at the University of California Los Angeles Library Special Collections.
Scope and Content of Collection
Clippings of her society photographs, including many weddings, published in the Berkeley Gazette. A few original photographs
pasted in of various celebrities: Lee Ann Meriwether, Bob Hope at Bing Crosby golf tournament, Frank Sinatra, Kim Novak, also
a group photo of the Tilden Womens' Golf Club. Several clippings relate to the Burton Abbot murder case. A few clippings from
the Oakland Tribune and the San Francisco Examiner.
