Founded in 1983, The Gay/Lesbian Network was committed to "creating the reality that it is ok to be gay and lesbian so that the end of discrimination and suppression of gay and lesbian people shows up as an idea whose time has come." Its activities included organizing training seminars and fundraising for the Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center in Los Angeles, California.
