Biography/Administrative History

Rancho Camulos ws built in 1857 and owned by the del Valles family of Los Angeles, it continues to be a working ranch today and is now also a museum.

Scope and Content of Collection

Mitch Stone covers the early development and ownership of Rancho Camulos. Then he discusses its historical significance, mainly its identity with Helen Hunt Jackson's novel, Ramona.
