This collection contains 17 black-and-white photographs mostly of Wade "Surfer Hank" Westmoreland wearing his firesuit. A majority of the photographs are taken with Westmoreland sitting in Jeff Busby's top fuel dragster named, "The Beach Boys". Also included are images of Jim Busby.

Biographical / Historical

Called the "Beach Boys" because they were surfers, the racing team consisted of four members including owner Jim Busby, and principal driver Wade "Surfer Hank" Westmoreland.
Westmoreland also drove for Jim and Alison Lee, the Allen Family, and Ed Wills; and won his only National Hot Rod Association event at the 1969 Springnationals in Dallas, Texas. After his racing career, Westmoreland continued working for Busby on his International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) porsches.
