Scope and Content of Collection

Eighteen black and white photographs of people living with AIDS taken by Barbi Schreiber in the 1980s. Includes accompanying text, artist’s statement. Artist holds copyright. The photo documentary was exhibited at New Langton Arts in 1989, at Ventura College in 1993 and at the Historical Society in winter 2001. The collection includes postcards from the 1993 exhibit and a visitor comment book from the 2001 exhibit. The photos are of Stephen Callahan, David Reeves, William Krentz, Jay Rolph, Father Robert Arpin, Jerrold Mooere, Benjamin Martin, Gary Harmon and Tom Merritt, Gary Girard, Robert Coffman, John Nativo Jr, David Burlew, 1987 PWA's, Joan Baker, Earl Corse, Reggie Williams, Bruce Riggs and Alex Jonski.
