Description
Prints and original concept sketches of Atari game cabinets, often in the form of photocopies or photographs. Collection is
organized by project. Those projects that are covered completely include a conceptual sketch, production drawings, and finally
the engineering prototype. In some cases, the only project documentation is the original conceptual sketch. Also includes
one pinball concept model.
Background
Mike Jang designed Atari video game cabinets. Atari, Inc. was founded in Sunnyvale, California, in 1972 and was succeeded
in 1984 by Atari Corporation.
Restrictions
While Special Collections is the owner of the physical items, permission to examine collection materials is not an authorization
to publish. These materials are made available for use in research, teaching, and private study. Any transmission or reproduction
