    History

    The Medieval Association of the Pacific (MAP) was founded at UC Davis in 1966. In the early years of the association, membership was largely based in Northern California, but eventually grew to include scholars from many Pacific Rim nations and from all regions of the United States. MAP members include faculty, graduate students, and independent scholars.
