Background
Ralph Pincus 1874-1956 was an American theater manager and producer who founded the Wigwam Theater in 1906. He was lauded
for bringing "great names" to the vaudeville stage in San Francisco. Pincus also served as president of the Newsboys' Union
and he stopped feuding between uptown and ferry gangs.
