Norman Lewis Corwin was born in Boston, Massachusetts, May 3, 1910; writer, director, and producer in radio, television, and
theater; considered one of the great radio dramatists of the 1930s and 40s; received numerous awards and wrote many works
including, They fly through the air (1939), We hold these truths (1941), The plot to overthrow Christmas (1952), The golden
door (1955), The rivalry (1957), The world of Carl Sandburg (1959), and Norman Corwin's letters (1994).
Scope and Contents
Collection consists of scripts, programs, and clippings related to the career of Norman Corwin. Includes scripts for The world
of Carl Sandberg, The charter in the saucer, Lust for life, and The golden door. Also includes a hard bound copy of the book
The plot to overthrow Christmas and an acting edition of the play The rivalry.
