Description
The papers document the creators of the films featured in the film festivals sponsored by Women in the Director's Chair, along with documentation of the organization itself, the history of the festival, and other programming initiatives.
Background
Women in the Director's Chair (WIDC) was a Chicago-based, international media arts activist organization which exhibited, promoted, and educated about media made by women, girls and transgendered people that express a diversity of cultures, experiences, and issues.

30 Linear Feet (20 cartons, 2 boxes, 1 card box, 8 map folders, 1 roll; 31 CDs, 14 audiocassettes, 3 Hi-8 videocassettes, 1 reel, etc.)

While Special Collections is the owner of the physical and digital items, permission to examine collection materials is not an authorization to publish.
