Abstract: Folder contains one handwritten letter from G. I. Beauregard to Capt. Henry Wager Halleck. In the letter, Beauregard introduces
a friend of his who will be visiting the new territory Halleck was overseeing, and simultaneously congratulates Halleck on
obtaining the territory. Written on June 14th, 1850.
Henry Wager Halleck lived from January 16, 1815 to January 8, 1872. He was an officer for the Union Army during the Civil
War, and afterwards became a lawyer and land developer for the state of California.
