Abstract: Folder contains one handwritten letter from G. I. Beauregard to Capt. Henry Wager Halleck. In the letter, Beauregard introduces a friend of his who will be visiting the new territory Halleck was overseeing, and simultaneously congratulates Halleck on obtaining the territory. Written on June 14th, 1850.

Biographical/Historical note

Henry Wager Halleck lived from January 16, 1815 to January 8, 1872. He was an officer for the Union Army during the Civil War, and afterwards became a lawyer and land developer for the state of California.
