Cole was one of the daughters of J.W. (James Wesley) Waters, Sr. Waters (1813-1889) was one of the first pioneers, politicians
and land developers of San Bernardino. Dr. William F. Edgar (1823-1897) as assigned by the Army to California about 1851.
