the hobby of model railroading. Scouts used these educational kits, produced by the Association of America Railroads and
additional information provided by the Boy Scouts of America to earn their Railroad Merit badge. To earn the Railroading merit
badge, Scouts must demonstrate a general knowledge of the railroad industry, train engineering and design, and an understanding
of railway safety precautions.
