Abstract: Press releases, correspondence, proposal, flyers, notes, clippings, pamphlets, resolutions, admission packet, and other items
documenting activity of the People's College of Law of the National Lawyers Guild (PCL), 1973-1980. The PCL was an unaccredited
law school intended to train legal professionals to defend the rights of "the poor and oppressed." The PCL included a gay
caucus, which focused on gay and lesbian rights projects.

primarily documenting the gay caucus of the People's College of Law of the National Lawyers Guild (PCL), 1973-1980. It was
founded by a coalition that included the National Lawyers Guild, minority legal organizations, and a gay caucus. The collection
includes many letters of inquiry from prospective students addressed to the PCL's gay caucus.
