The San Francisco Museum of Art Office of the Director Records contain administrative records from the Museum generated between
1959 and 1965, corresponding generally with the 1958-1965 tenure of its second director, George Culler. Highlights of Culler’s
years at the Museum include the expansion and formal establishment of the Education Department, a graphic design program for
publications, and an exploration of publicity through television and radio programs. Records are divided by calendar year
and arranged alphabetically within each year.
