Biography

Home Vision Entertainment was founded in Chicago in 1986 to distribute home video of public television programming. In the 1990s, the company shifted its focus to home video distribution of independent and international film, building upon its partnerships with Janus Films and the Criterion Collection. In 2005, Home Vision Entertainment was taken over by Image Entertainment.
