Abstract: Sarah S. Andrews served as a Church of Christ missionary in Japan from January 16, 1916, until her death on September 16,
1961. She financed the building of four churches in Shizuoka, Shimizu, Okitsu, and Numazu. The collection includes 3 photo
albums of the mission to Japan, 2 framed portraits, six photographs of Sarah and/or members of her family, a short biography
of her, and a copy of the publication
Tachiba "Standpoint" A View From Japan from March 1986, which talks about the work that Sarah did as a missionary.

Sarah S. Andrews was born on November 26, 1892, in Dickson, Tennessee, to Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Andrews. She attended Dickson
College before she set off for Japan on January 16, 1916, to serve as a Christian missionary.
Sarah served the Lord for 45 years as a missionary in Japan. She devoted most of her time, energy, and money to the cause.
She bought property and built four churches in Shizuoka, Shimizu, Okitsu, and Numazu.
Sarah died on September 16, 1961, at her home in Tokiwa-cho, Numazu city, Japan.
