These materials were collected during the tenure of the San Francisco Labor Council Executive Director Tim Paulson. They contain
administrative records, materials from labor and community campaigns, election fliers and candidate questionnaires, and Paulson's
calendars and hand-written notes. There are also materials from events and meetings (fliers, agendas, workshop materials)
and newspapers covering labor issues.
The San Francisco Labor Council was organized in 1892 and received its charter from the American Federation of Labor in May
of 1893. In 1958 it merged with the San Francisco Congress of Industrial Organizations' Industrial Union Council.
