making his way to the Philippines. Additional information and letters were lost when the family moved from Santa Clara, California
to Nacogdoches, Texas, the hometown of 1stSgt. Miller's wife, Martha R. Miller. Mentioned in the letters is a daughter, "B.Ann."
This is Barbara Ann, born July 25, 1943. Her and her mother returned from the Philippines on April 14, 1949 aboard the USAT
"General C.G. Morton" (passenger manifest, ancestry.com).
