Arthur Hornblow Jr. was a producer most active in film from 1933 to 1962. Prior to his career in
Hollywood, he was educated as a lawyer, served in World War I, and produced and wrote for the stage.
Hornblow arrived in Hollywood in 1927. He worked as a production supervisor for Sam Goldwyn, produced
films for Paramount and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and then found further success as an independent producer.
Hornblow received an Academy Award nomination in the best picture category for WITNESS FOR THE
PROSECUTION (1957). His third wife was Leonora Schinasi, a New York socialite and heiress. Leonora
"Bubbles" Hornblow was an American novelist and collaborator and co-author of a series of children's
books with Hornblow. Her first husband was actor Wayne Morris. Leonora Hornblow's only film appearance
was as a character actress in THUNDER IN THE EAST (1953).
