This collection contains one typed letter sent by WO(jg) Thomas F. Anderson, USA to his sister Regina Anderson of Brooklyn,
New York during the Second World War. He acknowldeges her letter, in which she enclosed a clipping from a company paper that
erroneously described Anderson as a Master Sergeant rather than a Staff Sergeant. He jokingly describes how fellow soldiers
have received similar clippings that exaggerate their wartime awards and deeds. He also acknowledges receipt of a box of clothes
from their mother. He mentions that he has been living with a French family, and states that he will soon move to a hotel
with heat and hot water. He asks his sister to help him acquire Christmas gifts for family members, and promises to reimburse
her.
